Kverneland ARCADIA 20000 F
Efficient weed control is a prerequisite for healthy plant growth as the basis for yield, profit and safe food production.
The Arcadia is the precision weed harrow for mechanical weed control in 12.20m working width. Its versatility allows to work in cereals, row crops or vegetables.
Description
The high performance Kverneland precision weed harrow, Arcadia, carries out selective mechanical weeding efficiently under any soil conditions, at lower and higher speeds with low impact on the growing crop. Beyond weed control, the precision weed harrow promotes a crumbling and levelling effect that improves soil structure. By cracking surface crusts, it supports seed emergence and boosts water and air circulation in the topsoil. These actions stimulate soil biology and physico-chemical processes, increasing nitrogen absorption and accelerating mineralisation and biomass development.
Key to the Arcadia’s outstanding performance is its independent adjustment of tine pressure and angle of aggressiveness. Hydraulic control from the tractor cab allows on-the-go pressure adaptation, with real-time visual indicators ensuring ease of use. The aggressiveness of the tine angle is finely tuned by adjusting the height of the gauge wheels, providing tailored settings for aggressive or gentle cultivation.
High-performance mechanical weeder for all crop stages
The Arcadia precision weed harrow is designed to deliver precise and effective mechanical weed control across a wide range of crop conditions. Its extensive working pressure range of up to 5 kg per tine ensures compatibility with both sensitive young crops and fully developed crop populations, providing excellent versatility throughout the growing season.
With a generous 55 cm under-beam clearance, the Arcadia can operate efficiently in tall crops and on ridged fields, allowing optimal performance even in demanding conditions. The machine is equipped with 420 high-strength 8 mm tines arranged in seven rows with a narrow 2.9 cm tine spacing, ensuring outstanding residue flow, thorough weed removal, and uniform full-width coverage.
Each tine is fitted with an individual spring system that maintains consistent tine pressure across varying field conditions. The advanced kinematic design minimizes pressure variations between ridges and furrows, delivering highly uniform weeding results and improved crop safety.
Exceptional machine stability is achieved through the Arcadia's flexible support wheel configuration, while five independent frame sections provide accurate ground contour following. This ensures consistent tine engagement and superior weeding performance across uneven terrain.
For enhanced crop protection during headland turns, the outer frame sections automatically lift and the tines retract, preventing damage to crops and maintaining operational efficiency.
Designed for safe and convenient transport, the Arcadia features a compact three-section wallet folding system that reduces transport width to less than 3 metres. The machine is equipped with road lighting and warning panels for full road compliance. Its Category 3 three-point linkage mounting and optimized centre of gravity reduce tractor lift requirements while improving transport stability and operator safety.
This combination of precision, flexibility, and durability makes the Arcadia an ideal solution for mechanical weeding, sustainable crop management, and high-performance weed control in modern farming operations.
