In January 2023, the Kverneland Group acquired BCT, a French company specialising in mechanical weeding equipment, notably through its Phenix Agrosystem brand. In November 2023, at the Agritechnica trade fair, the new range of mechanical weeding equipment was unveiled to the farmers and contractors under the Kverneland brand.
The range comprised the Onyx hoeing machines, the Lynx guidance interfaces and the Helios rotary hoes. The Arcadia precision weed harrow was still at the early prototype stage.
In addition to integrating the mechanical weeding range (master data, parts lists, drawing updates, etc.), the R&D department spent two intense years of discovery, learning, design and tests (reliability, durability, crop sensitivity, etc.) to develop this Arcadia precision weed harrow.
In November 2025, at the Agritechnica trade fair, the Arcadia 20000 F range was officially launched to the farmers and contractors. Since Agritechnica 2025, the first machines have been sold and production has begun (Purchasing, Methods, Tooling, Welding, Painting, Assembly, Quality).
In April 2026, the first Arcadia 20122 F precision weed harrow (12.20m) rolled off the production line at the Kverneland Group factory in Les Landes-Genusson.
Since then, production has already stabilized, with a renewed focus on quality control for the first machines. Well done to the teams who have been involved in the launch of this product and continue to play a part.
