Product FAQ`s
The Kverneland 5300 series triple mower conditioner requires at least 180 hp for the 5387 MT and 5387 MR, 210 hp for the 5387 MT BX and 5395 MT, and 240 hp for the 5395 MT BX. All listed models operate at 1,000 PTO rpm. Ask your Kverneland dealer to verify the complete tractor and front-mower combination.
The Kverneland 5300 series triple mower conditioner must be paired with a suitable front mower. Kverneland 3300 F series is an ideal match. The correct match depends on working width, overlap, tractor power, front linkage, front PTO, hydraulics, axle loads, and transport dimensions. Ask your Kverneland dealer to verify the complete cutting pattern and tractor suitability before selecting a front mower.
Choose the Kverneland 5387 triple mower conditioner for an 8.75 m working width or the Kverneland 5395 for 9.50 m. The 5387 uses two eight-disc mowing units, while the 5395 uses two nine-disc units. Consider tractor power, field size, access, required output, BX use, and the capacity of following machines.
The Kverneland 5300 series triple mower conditioner offers SemiSwing tine conditioning on MT models and roller conditioning on the 5387 MR. SemiSwing supports aggressive conditioning and crop transfer, while the roller system provides gentler crop handling. Choose according to crop type, forage-quality targets, tractor capacity, and the requirements of your harvesting system.
BX adds high-speed swath belts to the Kverneland 5300 series triple mower conditioner. The belts move the two outer swaths onto the centre row, gathering crop from the full cutting width into one large swath. This can prepare the crop for a suitable forage harvester or collection system and reduce the need for a separate merging operation.
Yes. The BX swath belts on the Kverneland 5300 series triple mower conditioner can be raised out of work, allowing the mower to leave three individual swaths. The crop can also be spread more widely using the integrated spreading hoods, providing flexibility for different wilting, tedding, raking, and harvesting strategies.
The Kverneland 5300 series triple mower conditioner has separate front and rear conditioner-plate adjustments. These allow conditioning intensity and crop flow to be adapted to different crops and conditions. Select the approved settings according to crop density, maturity, volume, and the required wilting result, following the operator manual for the specific MT or MR model.
Yes. The Kverneland 5300 series triple mower conditioner can form one combined swath with BX, leave three individual swaths with the belts raised, or spread the crop widely using its integrated hoods. This flexibility helps match crop placement to the working width and capacity of the following tedder, rake, forage harvester, or collection machine.
