Kverneland Kultistrip
The Kultistrip is Kverneland’s answer for strip-till, an innovative tillage procedure for row cultures such as maize, sugar beet, sunflower or rape seed.
Highlights
Improved water absorption and storage Reduced risk of soil erosion High seed emergence and deep root formation Precise fertiliser exactly where it is needed Weatherproof field surfaceDescription
The Kultistrip is Kverneland’s answer for strip-till, an innovative tillage procedure for row cultures such as maize, sugar beet, sunflower or rape seed.
It works by only preparing the soil where the crop is supposed to grow. Depending on the intended width of the row, up to 70% of the soil surface is not worked. This not only protects the soil against erosion and drying but also reduces the tillage costs.
The Kverneland Kultistrip is especially operator-friendly. All settings can be adjusted without tools, minimum maintenance is required.
A special feature is the separate adjustment of the break-up share and fertiliser injector. This means that you can change the working depth whilst keeping the fertiliser placement the same, or alternatively, change the level of the fertiliser injection while leaving the working depth unchanged
Features
- Opens the earth
- Cuts long residues
- Adjustable working depth
- Move even high amounts of residue out of the strip
- Adjustable in down pulling force
Works down to a depth of 30cm. A wider share is used for the slurry injection.
A carbide protection is available as option. Tines are equipped with a wing which avoids air pockets in the soil. Point and wing can be replaced independently.
There are three different tines available:
The straight tine for light soils and low mixing effect, minimum soil disturbance on the surface and perfect, ensuring moisture conservation.
The angled tine for light to medium soils, ensuring good mixing and crumbling effect.
The curved tine for heavy soils, intensive mix and crumbling effect.
To keep loose soil within the Strip
To define width and form of the strip
To recompact the soil, there are three different press wheels for various soil conditions:
- Cage roller
- V-press wheel
- Farmflex wheel
