Diaphragm types and their operation
Choosing the correct diaphragm material is essential for optimal pump performance and longevity.
Perbunan / NBR / Buna — Standard membrane, very good mechanical properties, medium chemical resistance.
Desmopan — Good mechanical properties, good to very good chemical resistance, frequently used instead of Perbunan/NBR/Buna.
Duramax — Very good mechanical and chemical resistance. The newest diaphragm in our range, for Bertolini and Altek pumps.
Pentax — Specially developed for liquid fertilizer, available only for Bertolini pumps.
Viton — Moderate mechanical properties, very good chemical resistance, especially against highly swelling crop protection products.
