Kverneland Introduces the New Tactus 2072 & 2078 Double Rotary Rakes

The new Kverneland Tactus 2072 and Tactus 2078 are double-rotor rotary rakes designed for professional forage management, combining clean raking results, high capacity and reliable daily performance across a wide range of field conditions.

Kverneland - Kverneland Introduces the New Tactus 2072 & 2078 Double Rotary Rakes

The Kverneland Tactus 2072 offers a working width of 6.4 to 7.2 m, while the Tactus 2078 covers 7.0 to 7.8 m with 12 tine arms per rotor — making both models well-suited to farming operations of all sizes, from smaller fields to large-scale contracting work.

DUO Tine System and Curved Tine Arms

Both models feature the proven Kverneland DUO tine system, raking the crop in two rows with reinforced curved 9.5 mm tines. Consistent tine height, smooth crop flow and high raking capacity are the result — without the aggressive setup required by straight tines. Curved tine arms lift material cleanly from the ground into the tines, reducing leaf loss and supporting the formation of airy, well-shaped swaths with minimal soil contamination.

TerraLink Plus with TouchDown Effect

The advanced TerraLink Plus system allows the rotors to follow ground contours precisely in all directions. The system includes the TouchDown Effect — the controlled, progressive way the rotor touches down when entering work and lifts again on the headland, preventing tines from digging into the ground. The result is a clean, consistent raking result from the very first metres, even on uneven terrain, with minimal soil inclusion and no damage to the grass sward.

CompactLine Gearbox

The CompactLine gearbox ensures smooth operation and long-term reliability with minimal maintenance. Oil-immersed cam discs and guide rollers, lifetime oil-bath tine-arm bearings and a fully sealed cam track significantly reduce service requirements. Oil level can be checked from outside without opening the gearbox, and the remaining greasing intervals are set at 100 hours — in most cases, once per season.

Easy to Operate, Built to Manoeuvre

Hydraulic working-width adjustment, laser-cut indicators and an organised hydraulic coupler storage position make the Tactus simple to set up and operate from the tractor seat. Controlled rear-frame steering enables tight headland turns, while ground clearance of over 450 mm in the narrowest position ensures existing swaths are not disturbed. Optional hydraulic transport locks allow the machine to be folded and unfolded without leaving the cab.

A wide range of options — including 380 mm wheels, tandem axle, single-side lift and ballast weights for the Tactus 2078 — allows operators to tailor the machine to their specific field conditions and requirements.
