Kverneland ploughs are used by the best ploughmen

The World Ploughing Contest is the Final of the National Championships taking place worldwide. The winners in the categories of Conventional and Reversible ploughs compete against other national champions. Most competitors reach the highest ploughing performances by using a Kverneland plough.

Results of the 69th World Ploughing Contest (Estonia)

44 National ploughing champions from Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand met on the 16-17th of August 2024. 99% of them had a 2 furrow Kverneland plough. They competed on grass on Day 1 and stubble on Day 2. Each competitor had a set time to plough their best.

The Republic of Ireland showed the best results, again. Congratulations to Eamonn Tracey in Conventional and Jer Coakley in Reversible.

  2. Scotland: Andrew B. Mitchell Snr.
  3. Denmark: Martin Lindberg Velling

Reversible Plough Category:

  1. Republic of Ireland: Jer Coakley
  2. Denmark: Søren Korsgaard
  3. Austria: Leopold Aichberger

These events promote ploughing as one of the most efficient soil preparation.

The World Ploughing Contest 2025 will take place in the Czech Republic.
