Suitable for a Wide Variety of Materials
The Kverneland 857 SL feature the unique design of angled knives passing the ‘comb’ on alternate sides - in combination with DFCS, blockage during loading and startup is prevented. The drum design, fitted with spirals of angled knives, ensures that high volumes of material are fed smoothly onto the flywheel without the need for bale rotation or conveyor reversing. In combination with the flywheel and 2-speed gearbox, bales of straw, hay or silage or even loose material can be discharged quickly, evenly and without fuss.
The Advantages:
- Fast and simple loading of a wide variety of materials. The powerful self-loading arm, with carefully designed geometry, ensures ultimate flexibility for loading the machine
- Unique drum-knife configuration to handle a wide variety of materials gently, yet efficiently
- Flywheel specifically designed for controlled material discharge and excellent clean-out.
- 2-speed gearbox as standard for reduced flywheel speed when discharging feed materials.
- Bedding of straw up to 18 metres.
- Flexible discharge options to suit bedding or feeding applications
- Electric controls as standard – the operator can work from the tractor seat or from the platform at the front of the machine
- Strong robust design for long-term use without problems
